Create Your Own Electronic Business Card (vCard) In Outlook 2007


A vCard is an Electronic (or Virtual) Business Card format for the Internet and the file extension of vCard is .vcf. An Electronic Business Card make it easier to create, view, and share personal or official information like name, address, phone number, email address and so on in many email clients such as Microsoft Outlook. vCards are the standard for creating and sharing contact information over the Internet in a highly recognizable form.


The complete procedure for creating an Electronic Business Card in Outlook 2007 is mentioned below: -


Step 1: - Open Microsoft Outlook by going to the Start menu and then click on the Outlook icon.

Step 2: - In menu bar click on File tab.

Step 3: - Now in next window, choose New, and then click on Contact.

Step 4: - Now in the next pop - up window, enter your personal information as per mentioned in the below image. You can also add any image as well.

Step 5: - During entering the information you can see a preview on the upper half hand corner of the Contact screen.

Step 6: - Now in Contact window, click on Business Card.

Step 7: - Now in the next window you can change the background color, picture alignment, font, etc. of the Electronic Business Card and then click Save & Close.

Step 8: - Now in next window click on New tab.

Step 9: - Now in next window, click on Other Business Card option available in Business Card tab.

Step 10: - Select  the business card you just created from your list and then click OK.

Step 11: - Now in next window when you are composing a new message you see Electronic Business Card appears in the message and .vcf file in the attached field.

After enabling this feature, you can insert Electronic Business Card in your all messages.
